Intentions

A poignant, impressively told love story, Intentions centers around a budding but complicated relationship between a married University professor and one of her female students. Renee (Katherine Lee) is the resident theatre instructor and director for all of the on-campus plays at the college. Her hum-drum life with a complacent father and two children is thrown wildly out of control when she meets Eve (Deidre Kotch), an openly lesbian student who auditions for a role in an upcoming show.

Eve is immediately attracted to Renee, but unfortunately she is involved with a clinging lover in a taut, about-to-snap relationship. Regardless of the current circumstances in their lives, the two throw caution to the wind and begin an illicit affair which soon threatens their very futures, alone and together.

All in all, Intentions is a potent glimpse of how emotions can sometimes detract us from our true intentions and inevitably lead us into illogical and rash behavior. With a rare and fresh look at the feminine perspective of relationships, this film will certainly take you on a frolic through love’s enigma. Not to be missed!
