Eating Out
Caleb (Scott Lunsford) and Kyle (American Idol’s Jim Verraros) are thoroughly modern roommates. Hunky Caleb likes the ladies, while music student Kyle digs dudes. While both are comfortable with their own identities and each other, neither is the sexual success he’d like to be. Caleb has the hots for sex-kitten Gwen (Emily Stiles), while Kyle drools over Gwen’s dreamy roommate, Mark (Ryan Carnes) Remembering that Gwen has a penchant for dating “gay guys”, Kyle hatches a plot to get close to Mark by passing off Caleb as gay, so Caleb can get close to Gwen. While newly “queer” Caleb does get attention from Gwen by pretending to bat for the other team, Gwen decides that Caleb would be perfect for Mark!
This Shakespearean comedy-of-errors leaves Gwen wondering if she’ll ever find a straight guy, Mark wondering why the new guy is so hot-and-cold, Caleb wondering how much further he’ll go to get the girl, and Kyle wondering why he’s been left behind. It’s a madcap melee in which sexual identity, ground rules, and rules of attraction are all up for grabs. Director Q. Allan Brocka’s feature debut is sure to leave you laughing—and hot and bothered!
