Blushing and beautiful bride-to-be April and her maid-of-honor Alex are best friends who share a secret past. Although their closeted relationship is long over, Alex still carries a torch for April, and struggles to keep it together as she prepares for the shower. But when the guests arrive, it becomes clear that this will not be a party for the faint of heart.

We meet a Martha Stewart wannabe with carpal tunnel syndrome, the nosey pizza delivery guy, a therapist with an obsessed Irish lover, a porn star, a Catholic mother, a dueling lesbian couple, and many more. The combination of quirky personalities and the underlying tensions between Alex and April prove to be too much. As the pressure mounts, Alex spills the beans on her long-term, secret relationship with April – and the rice hits the fan. April’s guests are, to say the least, shocked, but as the wine flows and the party grows, unanswered questions and goofy hijinx abound. April must own up to her past and to her feelings for Alex—and reevaluate her upcoming nuptials.
